Now, less than one year later, more Americans are insured than ever before. During this year’s open enrollment period, a record 15.5 million Americans have taken advantage of affordable health insurance options.

The American Rescue Plan has done more to lower costs and expand access to health care than any legislation since the Affordable Care Act — but there is more progress to be made.

As we all know too well, the costs of prescription drugs continue to skyrocket, forcing American families to make incredibly difficult decisions. That’s why last year, the Democratic House voted to pass a $35 per month cap on out-of-pocket insulin expenses. But team, realizing these health care wins requires expanding our majorities — both in the House and the Senate.
