Recently, voting reform was blocked on the floor of the U.S. Senate. As the Republican Party continues to push for laws making it harder for folks to vote, our democracy hinges on what happens at the state and local level in 2022.

In Wisconsin, protecting our democracy is a top priority, because we’ve seen what the GOP will try to do to undermine it.

Organizers from the Wisconsin Democratic Party are also on the ground organizing all year long to make sure Wisconsinites are registered and turn out on Election Day.

In Wisconsin, the Republican legislature has proposed a power grab to take over local elections. Just as I have always done, as Governor, I will veto any bill that makes it harder for eligible voters to access the ballot box. Without the veto, the Wisconsin GOP would pass laws that crush our freedom to vote.

Democracy is on the ballot in November. Both my campaign and the Wisconsin Democratic Party are doing everything we can to fight back, but we’ll need a surge of support to stop this assault on our democracy.
