Hello,

Donald Trump is now openly admitting that he wanted Mike Pence to “overturn” the 2020 election.

He said last month he will pardon the January 6th insurrectionists if he wins again in 2024.

He is even calling for strong-armed protests in the streets if civil or criminal investigations proceed against him.

Trump actually thinks that he is above the law.

The Big Lie isn’t just a concept. It’s the most dangerous thing our democracy has faced since Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War.

You’d think Republicans like my opponent Chuck Grassley would have the spine to stand up to this brazenly authoritarian rhetoric. But apparently not.

At a recent town hall, Chuck Grassley was caught on camera endorsing the wacky conspiracy that “the FBI and the Capitol Police were complicit” in the January 6th insurrection… and that those arrested are “political prisoners being held in gulag conditions.”

Any elected leader in America supporting Donald Trump today is aiding and abetting an autocrat in-waiting. But with your help, I will aid and abet the retirement of Charles Grassley. That’s why I’m running for Senate against Chuck Grassley here in Iowa.

The polls show this is going to be a close race, but with Senate control on the line, Mitch McConnell and his Super PACs have already raised millions to spend attacking me. We need to raise another $50,000 to fight back, and I am counting on grassroots donors like you to give now if we’re going to defeat Chuck Grassley and turn Iowa blue:

Please, will you give $5 or more right now – every dollar you can afford before our fundraising deadline – to help me defeat Chuck Grassley, turn Iowa blue in ‘22, and protect our Democratic majority in the Senate?

If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

Our very democracy is at stake this November. We cannot afford to sit this one out.

Thank you for your support,

Mike Franken, VADM, U.S. Navy (ret.)
