Evicting families is not just cruel, it’s immoral — but right now, evictions are on the rise across the country.
During this pandemic and pandemic-induced economic crisis, 30% of Americans worry whether they can make next month's rent, and for Black Americans, that number is 46%.
That’s why Ayanna and her colleagues, Rep. Cori Bush and Rep. Rosa DeLauro, introduced the Housing Emergencies Lifeline Program (HELP) Act to help keep renters safely housed, save lives, and advance housing justice.
But in order to get the HELP Act passed, we need to leverage the full power of our movement. Will you add your name to become a grassroots co-sponsor of Ayanna’s bill to combat the eviction crisis?

Every eviction is a cruel, violent policy choice. It’s why Ayanna is continuing to advocate and legislate in Congress to affirm housing as a human right.
The HELP Act would prohibit credit reporting of evictions and rent and utility debt; crack down on illegal evictions; shrink the gap in legal representation so more families have the resources to fight eviction; and help all families be better equipped to avoid homelessness throughout this pandemic and beyond.
Congress must take action and pass this critical, life-saving legislation — without action, lives and homes will continue to be lost, and the trauma our communities are experiencing will only get worse.
Inaction is not an option. Join Ayanna in fighting to keep folx safely housed by adding your name in support of the HELP Act.
Together, we will guarantee housing as a right for all.
Thank you,
The A-Team
