I wanted to share with you something I’ve been working on in Congress: the Patients’ Right to Know Their Medication Act of 2021. If enacted, this bill would protect patients by ensuring that they can access the vital information they need about their prescriptions.

Here’s why this is so important: Big Pharma has been lobbying relentlessly for prescription drug manufacturers to distribute information electronically, rather than by a paper insert.

Not only does this disenfranchise rural Mainers without reliable internet access, it would take away jobs from the Twin Rivers Paper Company’s Madawaska Paper Mill.

I’m proud to fight for Maine – for Maine patients, Maine seniors, Maine rural communities, and Maine jobs.
