Folks, electrification is the future of New Mexico and America — and it’s been decades in the making.

My love for electrification goes way back. It started when I was a kid, the son of a lineman and IBEW member. It continued into my days as a college student, when I helped design a carbon fiber solar car that we raced from Dallas, Texas, to Minneapolis, Minnesota:

And it continues today.

Electrification of vehicles, households, and more has already and will continue to create good-paying jobs. It’s also one of the most practical ways we can act on climate change.

That’s why I’ve dedicated so much time to finding affordable, efficient ways to electrify our homes and communities. We just brought $38 million in formula funding to New Mexico to expand our electric vehicle charging system across the state, thanks to measures I fought for in the bipartisan infrastructure bill.

I’m also working every day alongside my colleagues in the Electrification Caucus to pass policies that make widespread electrification a reality — including my plans to help families get rebates for electrifying their homes.

The climate crisis is growing worse every day, and it’s more important than ever that we advance legislation to electrify America.

Can you help build support for widespread electrification by adding your name below?
