Ohio Republicans have deliberately failed to produce redistricting maps to the Supreme Court as the deadline passes.

Last week the Ohio Supreme Court again threw out the Republican's gerrymandered maps. In doing so, they gave the Redistricting Commission a 10 day window to produce new maps that follow the constitution.

Well, that window officially closes at midnight on Thursday, and NO maps were produced by the Republicans on the Commission. The Republicans defied the Ohio Supreme Court’s order and this is an assault on our democracy and Ohio voters.

As one of two Democrats on the Commission, we have time and again produced fair and constitutional maps without feedback or good faith negotiation by our Republican colleagues.

The Republicans have failed time and again to follow the rule of law which Ohio voters overwhelming put in place through two different ballot initiatives.
