We've had a year to reflect on Donald Trump’s second impeachment trial.

My vote to impeach the former President wasn’t something that I took any glee in, but I believe our democracy only works when the public can trust the people they elect. Donald Trump violated the Constitution and his duty to our country when he tried to overturn the results of the 2020 election and incited his supporters to violence - with lies, tweets, and conspiracy theories.

These threats still remain. In fact, there are more QAnon conspiracy theorists running for office than ever before. It’s a real danger. These extremists are only 5 seats away from taking control of the same Congress they attacked on January 6th. I refuse to let that happen.
