# [#]Dear John,

I’m proud to announce that my campaign will be participating as a partner in the 2022 National Democracy Summer School! Developed by Maryland Congressman (and law professor) Jamie Raskin and expanded across the country in partnership with the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), this program is dedicated to training and educating the next generation of Democratic political activists, organizers, and leaders.

As part of this initiative, we’re looking for 5 dedicated high school and college students to join our campaign team as Anna Eshoo for Congress Fellows. Selected Fellows will participate in an exciting online seminar and curriculum designed by Rep. Raskin, focused on the history of social and political change in America and the progress of political democracy, while simultaneously training as organizers and volunteer activists with my reelection campaign here in the new 16th Congressional District in California. Please see [link removed] [[link removed]] for more information on the new 16th Congressional District.

The theme of this year's academic seminar is “Political Democracy and its Enemies.”

Through the academic program, Fellows will learn from great activist heroes, both young and veteran political leaders, Democratic policy experts, and top political organizers and community organizers across the country. Past Democracy Summer speakers have included House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Civil Rights leaders Bob Moses and Rev. William J. Barber II, Prof. Laurence Tribe, Senator Elizabeth Warren, the late Rep. John Lewis, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and dozens of other luminaries of change and progress.

In my campaign, Fellows will participate in key organizing events and learn to phone-bank, text-bank, use social media to organize and educate, canvass, door-knock, fundraise, sign-wave, register voters, run effective field programs and build change in our country.

Additional information and the application for the Fellowship can be found [link removed] [[link removed]] . The deadline to apply is March 15, 2022. If you know a student in the CA 16th District that may be interested in this life-changing program, please forward them this email — this is an opportunity they won’t want to miss.

We are in the struggle of our political lives to defend democracy and voting rights.

Join us.

Thank you for your support.

Anna
