3 Ways to Prioritize People and the Planet in Public Transport 

Public transport took a massive hit during the pandemic, with ridership dropping to roughly 20% of pre-pandemic levels. Prior to that, public transport faced a lack of investment and planning, often as a product of exclusionary practices based on race, class or gender. PODCAST: How Conflicts and Worsening Drought Are Converging in Africa 

Water security is a major driver of conflict around the world, and certain regions are at an especially high risk of conflict. The Water, Peace & Security Partnership released the first of their quarterly updates for 2022, which examines the worsening drought in Somalia, Ethiopia and northern Kenya. Next Steps for Countries After Setting a Net-Zero Target 

At the end of 2021, over 80 countries had set net-zero targets in an effort to cut emissions and curb rising global temperatures. While this is an important step forward, countries must now put in the work to achieve their net-zero goals.
