John, join us this World Diabetes Day

Today, millions of people around the globe will come together to raise awareness of diabetes, share stories and successes, and look to a future where there’s more hope than ever before. And this World Diabetes Day, we're particularly excited to share our ambitious new plans that seek to end the harm caused by diabetes within a generation.

With your help, we’ve already funded life-saving research that allowed us to put people with Type 2 diabetes into remission and have made massive leaps towards making emotional support a vital part of diabetes care.

But there’s still a lot more to do.

To transform the future for people at risk of or living with diabetes, we must act now. Today, let’s celebrate how far we’ve come and continue to fight towards a world where diabetes can do no harm. If we each do one small thing, together we can change the lives of people with diabetes for the better. Are you with us?

Whether you share one of the stories below, encourage someone you know to check their risk of Type 2, or use our Facebook frame, it all counts today. Get involved by visiting our website and read all about our new plans.

Whatever you raise will help fund life-saving research and provide vital support to people living with diabetes. Swim at your own pace in your local pool. And if you're not ready for 22 miles, why not challenge yourself to 11 instead?

Sandra's journey to remission

"This feels like the best time of my life. I’ve never had a clear head before. I feel like I can deal with anything and it’s great.” Balance cover star Sandra was able to put her Type 2 diabetes into remission with some diet and lifestyle changes. And as part of our new plan, we want everyone with Type 2 to have the opportunity to be in remission by 2025. Read her story to get inspired.
