John,

Last week, a water main ruptured in Southwest Philadelphia's Kingsessing section, flooding the neighborhood with thousands of gallons of water. This break is shutting down schools, ruining homes, and forcing evacuations.

This isn't the first time Philadelphia has had a water main break, and it certainly won't be the last. It's time for a long-term solution: it's time for funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to go to work.

For decades, infrastructure in Pennsylvania has suffered from a systemic lack of investment. Add your name next to mine to call on local leaders to invest crucial infrastructure funding into helping rebuild disadvantaged neighborhoods.

I'm joining Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon in calling on Governor Tom Wolf to provide immediate support to Kingsessing and the families impacted by the water main break. We need to act quickly to repair infrastructure damage and help residents and local economies recover.

America has been overdue for the historic infrastructure investments included in the final Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. It will make life better for millions of Pennsylvania residents, create a generation of good-paying union jobs and economic growth, and address racism and inequity that were built into our city's infrastructure.

I fought for the law and for the inclusion of the Reconnecting Communities Pilot Program to address racist infrastructure in Philly and across the country. We are rebuilding America back better, and it's crucial our local governments put this funding to work.

Add your name now if you agree we need to direct funding from Bipartisan Infrastructure Law back into helping rebuild disadvantaged communities.

In solidarity,

Dwight
