Last night, the Arizona State Senate passed a bill that would outlaw abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy, regardless of rape or incest.
As it stands today, this Mississippi-style measure is unconstitutional under the precedent set by Roe v Wade. However, the Supreme Court will have the opportunity to overturn Roe this spring — despite the fact that most Americans believe reproductive decisions should remain between a woman and her doctor.
On top of this, Arizona's new law would disproportionately impact women who do not have the means to travel to Democratic states without strict restrictions on abortions.
As the next Congresswoman of Arizona's 1st Congressional district, I will work tirelessly to pass legislation like the Women’s Health Protection Act, to ensure that women’s reproductive rights are protected not just in Arizona, but across the country.
However, I need your help to make that happen. Will you chip in $10 to my campaign to ensure that AZ-01 has an unapologetically pro-choice Congresswoman?
