Dear friends,
Unlike other Sustainable Development Goals that look to achieve targets by 2030, SDG 14.1 is aimed at 2025. Our impact strategically aligns with SDG 14.1, working to “prevent and significantly reduce marine pollution of all kinds, in particular from land-based activities, including marine debris and nutrient pollution.”
Here are two of our initiatives that are preventing plastic from entering the ocean and we need your help to spread the message.
PLASTIC INNOVATION PRIZE FINALISTS
Join us on March 16th 12:00pm EST to celebrate the Finalists of the TOM FORD Plastic Innovation Prize! We’ve been working for more than a year to find materials that can meet our ambitions of scalability, cost-equivalency, and biological degradability (not biodegradable, there’s a very important difference - see our FAQ here [[link removed]]). Our goal? Disrupt the 180 billion per year thin-film non-recycled polybag industry. 🎉

GLOBAL YOUTH INSIGHTS SURVEY
Today we launched the much anticipated Global Youth Environmental Movement Insights Survey [[link removed]]. Commissioned by the UN Environment Programme, these insights are critical to ensuring the voice of our young environmental leaders is front and center in policy decisions.
If you are under the age of 25 and involved in addressing environmental issues you can share your perspective in the survey. Submit your answers by March 15, 2022, to ensure your feedback is included.
If you’re older than 25, you can still support the survey as an adult ally. Send this link [[link removed]] or share this post [[link removed]] to help ensure the voices of youth are heard from global governments.
