Memo re: highs & lows from the last few weeks
Governor DeSantis tried to hijack the redistricting process and get the FL Supreme Court to pre-emptively approve the blueprint for his discriminatory map -- luckily the Court denied his unprecedented request. The redistricting landscape is changing every day. Our collective actions during this time could be the difference between voters being able to fairly elect leaders who represent their interests -- or another decade of obstruction.
Just this week, A.G. Holder echoed those words and reminded us of what is at stake.
A.G. Holder: “If we grow complacent and come up short in this final phase of redistricting, we will have to wait until 2031 to achieve fair maps.”
