At a far-right election denial rally in Colorado a speaker implied the need to execute the Secretary of State.

Upon hearing the Secretary's name, the crowd chanted "Lock her up!" The speaker then yelled into the microphone "I think if you're involved in election fraud, then you deserve to hang," adding "sometimes the old ways are the best ways." The crowd cheered.

This kind of language is not just alarming - it's dangerous. And we're seeing more of it all over America. Even here in Minnesota, my family and I feared for our safety and considered moving temporarily from our home after the January 6th insurrection.

I'm deeply worried that If we fail to stand up to the election disinformation that inspires these threats of violence, we could see more political bloodshed in this country.

I always take the opportunity to call out disinformation when I see it; to talk about the well-earned confidence in our election system - and to push back against lies designed to divide us.
