This week was very special as the Clark County Commission approved a
resolution encouraging the federal government to designate Avi Kwa Ame as
a National Monument, followed by Congresswoman Dina Titus putting a bill
before Congress to do just that! Tonight on [ [link removed] ]Out in Front with Annette
we will be talking to Congresswoman Dina Titus and Taylor Patterson,
Executive Director with Native Voters Alliance about what this means for
Avi Kwa Ame and what can be done at the federal level to secure this
designation.
Avi Kwa Ame is special to tribal communities and it is also a popular spot
for off highway vehicles and recreation. A National Monument designation
would secure funding and resources to help preserve this area for future
generations!
Please tune in [ [link removed] ]TONIGHT at 5pm to join the conversation about Avi Kwa
Ame and why this area is so important to Nevadans! Share with your
friends and family to further lift this conversation up. Don’t forget to
bring your questions for our guests!
We hope we’ll see you there,
