My name is Josh Shapiro — and I’m running to be Pennsylvania’s next Governor.
I’m running because democracy is on the line right now — and we can’t leave protecting our voting rights or our democracy to chance.
The very foundation of our country is our democracy — and that means government by the people, for the people. Your vote, my vote, and everyone’s vote are critically important to make sure our government works for us all.

To make sure our elections are free and fair, we need to make sure that every voter can cast a ballot and have that ballot counted. And it’s become clearer that the work of protecting and expanding access to the ballot box is up to states like Pennsylvania or Michigan.
After the 2020 election, I defended Pennsylvania voters and the results of the 2020 election as Attorney General. My office even argued all the way up to the Supreme Court, ensuring all legal votes were counted and the results of our safe, secure election were certified. And as Governor, I’ll continue to protect our democracy.
But this year, extremists will get the chance to win control of the Pennsylvania government. If they succeed, they’ll roll back the right to vote — changing the landscape of our elections for years to come.
The fight to protect our democracy is taking place in the states, and amidst unprecedented threats to our right to vote, and I'm standing firm at the forefront of that battle. Will you join me by chipping in today?
