Louisville Community Bail Fund says it will post bond for accused shooter Quintez Brown What’s shocking is that given the facts of the situation, BLM Louisville is posting bail for Quintez Brown.  In fact, when a local reporter spoke to the leaders of the organization, they were heading to the bank to get a cashiers check to post his bail. Unfortunately, this echos earlier misguided bail-fund efforts (including ones promoted by VP Harris) that have led to disastrous results. For example, one individual the Minnesota Freedom Fund provided bail for, was later charged with murder for shooting someone.  The Freedom Fund provided bail to him in a domestic assault case.  He was barred from possessing firearms due to previous convictions. The bottom line is that if someone poses a danger to the community, it is appropriate for that individual to be detained pending trial. Heritage Experts: Cully Stimson and Zack Smith

How the U.S. Should Help Defend UkraineRussia so far has not launched a further invasion of Ukraine like some reports were saying would happen today. Today was declared the “Day of Unity” by Ukrainian President Zelenskyy; the national anthem played around the country in multiple settings to unite the people. Ukraine encountered the largest distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) cyberattack in its history last night, most likely launched by Russia. The attack was attempted on the Ukrainian banking sector, official government websites, the power block, and the Diia portal (which allows access to over 50 governmental services), but was prevented. The U.S. government has relaxed Covid entry requirements for some people who have evacuated Ukraine for the United States (this applies to U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and a couple other groups). Russia reportedly has built a military-style pontoon bridge near Chernobyl on the Pripyat River, connecting Belarus and Ukraine in a way where Russia’s 30,000 troops in Belarus could more easily move south to Ukraine. Supposedly President Biden held a phone call with German Chancellor Scholz today, but no details of it have been released. Moscow announced yesterday it would be drawing down some of its troops from the Ukrainian border, but so far we see no evidence of this occurring. In fact, it appears that Russia is doing the opposite, continuing to add critical forces to its already ~130,000-150,000 troops present. Heritage Expert: Alexis Mrachek

Clinton’s Campaign, Its High-Tech Allies, and Political Espionage  With the latest filing by special counsel John Durham, a chilling story continues to unfold even though most mainstream media outlets are downplaying it. The story: A presidential campaign quite possibly used its allies in the tech sector to engage in political espionage—not just against the opposition candidate, but against a sitting president. The underhanded activity even improperly exploited sensitive communications from the White House. We know that many tech companies have been captured by leftist ideology and are manipulating and censoring the flow of information, which is bad enough.  But actually spying on a presidential candidate and then on the president? That’s astonishing. Heritage Expert: Hans von Spakovsky

Republicans see signs of midterm ‘red wave’ in SF school board recall: ‘They’ve ignored parents’  The recall is part of a "larger national trend.San Francisco’s school board has made a number of radical decisions, including the erasure of Abraham Lincoln from the name of a school. Voters spoke loud and clear that this does not represent their community," Butcher said. "This recall is part of a national trend. Last year, by June, concerned parents and voters around the U.S. had started more than twice the annual average number of school board recalls. So long as interest groups and policymakers dismiss parents or treat them as a threat, parents and voters (often one and the same) will respond by acting in the best interests of their children. Exclusive: National Advocacy Groups Sound Alarm, Call on Arizona Republicans to Oppose State LGBTQ Bill National family and culture advocacy organizations are targeting an Arizona LGBTQ bill, warning state lawmakers that the legislation does not protect religious liberty and enshrines sexual orientation and gender identity into law as protected categories. “No Arizonan should be forced to live in a society that denies the biological differences of men and women,” says the letter, first obtained by The Daily Signal, from the advocacy groups to Arizona lawmakers. “No Arizonan should be coerced by the government to act in accordance with falsehoods about human nature.” Heritage Expert: Mary Margaret Olohan

Don’t Worry, BLM Founders Aren’t Corrupt. They’re Capitalists.  If you’re a woke journalist, how would you frame allegations of financial misconduct against the main Black Lives Matter organization? You could ignore these financial questions about the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, sure. Or you could frame the allegations the way New York magazine has in a recent article: by absurdly quoting people saying that the organization’s corruption proves its leaders are capitalists. The creators of the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation are not interested in social justice or black lives. From the start, the mainstream media has covered for, not covered, the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation. Journalists eventually will have to report the financial misconduct by the BLM foundation. But at least now we know how this could occur: because its leaders are capitalists. Heritage Expert: Mike Gonzalez
