Hey y'all -

We’re about halfway through our first full fundraising quarter since Cheri became Democrats’ presumptive nominee in North Carolina, and I’d like to ask for a moment of your time to explain why a donation to our campaign today is so important.

At the end of this quarter, we have an official FEC deadline — meaning we are required to report our numbers publicly afterward.

The truth is everyone — our opponents, political pundits, Republican super PACs — will be looking at these numbers to size up our campaign.

They want to gauge whether or not Cheri has the resources and grassroots support to flip this seat for Democrats, and they’ll use any signs of vulnerability against us. So we cannot afford to let that happen.

With such a big target on our campaign, we need to keep building on our momentum. But we still have a ways to go to hit our goal, so that’s why we’re humbly asking for your support:
