Elections are expensive.

It’s just the truth of the matter. In order to run a successful campaign, we need to get ads up on TV and digital platforms, hire and train a diverse and talented staff, mobilize volunteers and voters across the state, and more. Doing all of that takes significant resources.

Michael talks the talk when it comes to campaign finance reform, so he doesn’t take a cent from super PACs or corporate special interests. That, combined with the fact that our Republican opponents are writing themselves massive checks to fund their own campaigns, means we have to work harder to raise the resources we need to win.

With so much on the line, we need to stay on track with our fundraising to protect and expand our Senate majority. We don't have to outraise them, but we do have to keep pace with our goals.
