Good afternoon!
There is a mental health crisis happening in classrooms across the country. Too many young people aren’t receiving the help they need to live safe, healthy, happy lives. As we continue to live through this pandemic, we need to ensure young people feel supported at the place they spend so much of their lives — at school.
That’s why I’ve teamed up with Inseparable, a mental health advocacy nonprofit, and a coalition of 15 other leading mental health organizations to form the Hopeful Futures campaign. We hope to shed light on how pervasive this crisis is, so we can push for school mental health reforms and ensure every child thrives.
To that end, we’ve just released “America’s School Mental Health Report Card,” a national report that grades all 50 states and Washington D.C. on their school mental health policies. Each mental health report card also includes a range of policy solutions that states can take to have a positive impact on their students — click here to see how your state scores.
