Hi John,
As we celebrate and honor Black history this month, we’re also working to ensure the most phenomenal Black future possible. We’ll achieve this by making sure Black voices aren’t just heard — they’re elected into positions of power.
We’re proud to say that, in 2021, 50% of our endorsed candidates and 50% of our WINS were Black women. But Black women still only account for 5% of elected leaders in this country. Until we significantly raise that number, oppressive legislation will continue to be written.
This year, we are setting our sights even higher. We are preparing to endorse a new slate of candidates across the country in an effort to shatter EVERY glass ceiling in our path. We intend to keep working hard to ensure that the voices of Black women will be heard in the rooms where decisions are being made.
Help us elect Black women up and down the ballot by contributing $15 today.

“I am not the candidate of Black America, although I am Black and proud; I am not the candidate of the women's movement of this country, although I am a woman and I am equally proud of that. I am the candidate of the people of America. And my presence before you now symbolizes a new era in American political history.” - Shirley Chisholm
