WJC President Ronald S. Lauder calls for unity in fight against hate in address to Vatican officials
Giving the keynote address, WJC President Ronald S. Lauder remarked: "Firstly, we must counter hate. Racism is absolutely unacceptable. We must eradicate it. Antisemitism is absolutely unacceptable. We must eliminate it. Islamophobia is absolutely unacceptable. We must erase it. Attacks on Christian communities and on Christian individuals are absolutely unacceptable. We must stop them — and prevent their recurrence."

The World Jewish Congress joined the events on October 27th, with a staff delegation visiting the Tree of Life synagogue, donating blood, talking with community members, joining the commemorative Torah study, and attending the community memorial service.
