Team, I always knew that I wanted to make a difference in my community, but back when this photo was taken, I didn't know exactly what that would look like.
I was born and raised on the Olympic Peninsula, the proud son of two public school teachers. Growing up, I saw firsthand how economic struggles impacted our community and the families in it. I saw how resilient people could be even in the toughest of times, and I learned that the only way forward is by moving forward together.
I've made it my mission in Congress to find ways to bring more economic opportunities to more people in more places. While these last few years have presented a lot of challenges, we’ve made progress providing economic relief for working families and Main Street employers, rebuilding and modernizing our infrastructure, and defending Social Security.
Team, I know there’s plenty more to do. I am still fighting to make our economy – and our Congress – work better for the folks I represent. And today, I need your help.
Our grassroots supporters are critical to keeping me in this fight. We're facing a $5,000 mid-month deadline tomorrow at midnight, and my team tells me we're only $1,310 short of our goal. Will you chip in whatever you can before the deadline to keep me fighting for progress in Congress?
