John — Republicans are now claiming that the domestic terrorists who tried to overturn the 2020 election were engaging in “legitimate political discourse.” And that a GOP party official falsely claiming Trump won a state he lost is not within the purview of the January 6 committee.

Obviously, this is not true. Bad actors came to the Capitol from all over the country. We know the effort to halt the certification of the vote was just one part of the Big Lie that Trump and his lackeys have been pushing.

We don’t know about you, but a violent mob attacking the Capitol doesn’t seem like “legitimate political discourse” to us.
