Folks, recognize her?
Yep, that’s me! I grew up in Selma, Alabama and my community built me up to fight for what I believe in.
Now, I’m the only Democrat representing Alabama in Congress, and I fight every day for the people of the Black Belt. I want to tell you a bit about how that little girl from Selma grew into the woman I am today, but first, will you chip in $5 and support my re-election campaign?

My parents were instrumental in making me who I am.
My dad was unwaveringly supportive, and he gave me the confidence to explore new opportunities. My mom was an endless source of inspiration — she was Selma's first Black City Councilwoman and she encouraged me to make my voice heard in a world where women are so often overlooked.
I was raised to never stop fighting for what matters. Now, as Alabama’s first Black woman representative in Congress, that’s what I do every day.
When I look at what’s going on in our country — the partisan games, divisive rhetoric, and political extremism — I think about the debt we owe to future generations to continue the fight for progress.
I work tirelessly in Congress so that the next generation of Alabama’s kids live in a world where access to health care is a right, not a privilege. Where they have access to a quality, equitable public education system. Where they are able to exercise their sacred right to vote without barriers to the ballot box.
That little girl from Selma grew up to have big dreams, and the determination to see them through. Now, I’m asking you to join me in the fight: will you support my re-election campaign by chipping in whatever you’re able, and help me create a bright future for all Alabamians?
