Friend – I've known Congresswoman Demings a long time. 

I first met Val when we hired her as a social worker, addressing the needs of residents in Green Cove Springs and surrounding areas. That was back 30 years ago, and I'm just so proud of everything she's done and is doing now to serve Florida.

Back then, everybody who worked in the office was like a big family. Our office didn't get much funding, but we made our way. We did everything we could to help our neighbors.

Believe me when I say Val has always had heart. Whether someone needed food or their lights had been turned off, Val put her nose to the grindstone to help. I know she made a real difference in their lives.

Now, I'm just blown away to see what Val continues to do in keeping that mission to serve others, just as she did decades ago. She's fighting for our community in Congress, and I know if she's elected to the Senate, she'll keep doing everything she can to make our lives better – whether that's protecting our voting rights or making health care more affordable.

But that progress depends on expanding our Democratic majority in the Senate, which depends on you. Val tells me she just can't raise enough money to win without support from each of you. If you have a few dollars to help her deliver better leadership to Florida, could you donate now?
