John -
On February 28th, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) will release a report focused on climate impacts.
The IPCC is the United Nations body for assessing the science related to climate change, and the report is expected to confirm that climate impacts are increasingly frequent and devastating, and we have a decreasing window of time to prevent the worst of all possible futures.
When we receive news like this, it's important to remember how we got here and who got us here. That way, we can channel our energy into fixing the problem. Because the truth is:
The fossil fuel industry created the climate crisis. And they did it with the help of ridiculous amounts of funding.
But what if we told you that your $3.50 was more powerful than any amount of dirty fossil fuel money?
The truth is that it genuinely is. Because when you — and tens of thousands of supporters all over the world — pitch in what you can, we are able to launch unprecedented climate campaigns targeting the fossil fuel industry.
But in order for our campaigns to actually work, we rely on thousands of individual donations from people like you, John. Largely in response to appeals such as this one. So we need ask:
Here's a brief outline of our campaign plan:
We're up against a whole lot of money and a whole lot of power. But together, there's nothing we cannot accomplish:
Can you pitch in today? Our campaigners are counting on today being a strong day for fundraising.
Thank you so much for chipping in, and please keep an eye out on your email in the coming weeks for more on our climate campaigns.
In solidarity,
Team 350
