While everyone in Washington is focused on the impeachment inquiry into Trump’s abuse of power, our campaign is focused on people in need of a champion.

I’m running for president because I believe in an America where everyone counts, including people with disabilities. Today I released the most ambitious and bold plan to expand inclusion and opportunity to all Americans: the People First Disability Plan.

Almost thirty years ago, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) transformed the landscape of our nation. Achieving the four key promises of the ADA — equal opportunity, full participation, independent living, and economic self-sufficiency — is a never-ending struggle for equality and requires an ongoing fight for justice. That’s why I have a plan to fight for justice and prosperity for people with disabilities.

I will be participating in a Twitter Town Hall TOMORROW at 9AM CST with Sandy Ho, Founder and Co-Organizer of the Disability and Intersectionality Summit, discussing my People First Disability Plan. Make sure to send your questions on Twitter using #AskJulián!

Tune in!

No one like Julián Castro has ever been in the Oval Office. His grandmother immigrated here from Mexico when she was just 7 years old. She never got past the 4th grade, but she provided for her family by working as a maid and a housekeeper.

Now, her grandson is running for President of the United States. Against all odds, grassroots Democrats like YOU helped him qualify for the Democratic debates and sent him to the front of the pack of Democratic candidates.

We know we send you a lot of emails, but that’s because we’re relying on grassroots supporters to overcome our next big challenge:

Julián must be able to compete and build a movement that lasts for the long haul, and he’s not taking a cent of corporate PAC money to do it. Will you be a part of this historic campaign?
