A few weeks ago, after a long career as a dedicated public servant, my good friend Ed Perlmutter announced that he would not be seeking reelection to the 7th Congressional District. He is one of the finest Democrats this state can offer, and I am honored to have been able to work with him and call him a friend.

After redistricting and Rep. Perlmutter's retirement, Colorado's 7th district has become significantly more competitive -- and national Republicans have made it a top target. It's crucial that we keep his seat blue and elect someone who will fight for our Colorado values and an economy that works for all of us.
