Nicolle asked me about the fake electors story — in which dozens of people from seven swing states signed fake electoral certificates in a failed attempt to overturn the 2020 election — including two of my Republican opponents in the race for Governor of Pennsylvania.

I told her — and everyone watching — that they’re doing real damage to our democracy. These are people who are willing to trade away what makes America special for their own power.

The Big Lie is taking time and resources away from doing the important work of our democracy — of solving the real problems facing the people in Pennsylvania and across the country, from COVID to how we educate our kids to the economy.

It’s doing real damage. It’s dangerous, and Trump and his enablers have no legal leg to stand on. They’re waving the Rudy Guiliani flag — and anytime you have to wave the Rudy Guiliani flag, you’re losing the legal argument.
