We were elated this month to finally share the news of our upcoming book I've Got Your Back: The Indispensable Guide to Stopping Harassment When You See It by Emily May and Jorge Arteaga.

This book is the culmination of years of story-sharing and culture-shifting work, and it's as much yours as it’s ours. If you’ve ever shared a story or attended a training session with us, you had a hand in the creation of this resource.

We are a team of book lovers, and know this book presents us with the special opportunity to share our most tangible resource yet.

And if you’ve been with us for a long time, or a short time, and feel confident you are an expert in bystander intervention, we believe this book will be your chance to kickstart someone’s else's journey.

I started Current TeeVents while in quarantine. I was bored and bouncing around tons of ideas in my head and I finally decided to take that leap and start a t-shirt line. I also decided to help others, despite being in a housing program and digging my way out of homelessness myself. I am full of excitement and pride, but also tons of anxiety. Please shop with Current TeeVents so I can continue helping as many causes as I can like Hollaback!, while rebuilding a life for my dogs and I. - Carolanne Burtchell

Hollaback! in the News!

Our very own Leah Pusateri, Training Manager for our organization, walked the folks over at MonitorDaily through the five most important ways to effectively intervene when harassment occurs. This article is their Editor’s Pick and is a great read for anyone who has worried about workplace harassment. To read the article click here.

Noelani Kirshner uplifted our work in her article this past month, “Putting an end to street harassment everywhere”. In addition, the article uplifts our peers and partners in the work of ending harassment, Chalk Back, and Our Streets Now. This Women’s History, take action by signing up or sharing our training that addresses gender-based violence, Stand Up Against Street Harassment. If you’ve already taken this training, be sure to participate in our new MAJOR survey here, as part of the international Stand Up campaign.

And as the year takes off, we're proud to continue our work to support AAPI communities with upcoming trainings in Vietnamese and Tagalog. And we’re excited to also offer recurring sessions of our Bystander Intervention training to stop online abuse.
