From Hamas and Hezbollah's terrorism to biased treatment at the U.N. and escalating aggression from Iran, we must ensure our elected leaders are paying attention to the serious threats that Israel faces.
But we can only do this and other important work with Congress because of your investment in AIPAC, and right now, we need your urgent support before the end of February.
Our work is needed now more than ever, especially as America and Israel face an increasingly unstable Middle East.
To Israel’s north, Hezbollah has an arsenal of more than 150,000 missiles and rockets—many of which are capable of precisely targeting any location in Israel.
To the south, Hamas fired 4,300 rockets at Israel over eleven days last May, with the goal to injure and kill as many Israeli civilians as possible.
To the northeast, Iran has begun enriching uranium to 60% purity — the closest it has ever been to obtaining nuclear weapons grade material — while restricting inspectors from fully monitoring Tehran’s nuclear program. Iran also expanded its regional aggression, attacking four Israeli-linked vessels in international waters.
These are dangers that we must ensure our elected leaders are paying attention to now. Israel cannot afford for us to wait. We must take action now.
We can only do this and other important work with Congress because of your investment in AIPAC.
Sincerely,
Brian Shankman
Chief Strategy Director for National Affairs
