John,

A top environmental priority to protect forests and farms from urban sprawl needs your support to make it across the finish line.

Senate Bill 5042 would close the GMA's sprawl loophole by ensuring that the Growth Management Hearing Board can review any county land-use changes, such as Urban Growth Area expansions and farmland de-designation before taking effect.

SB 5042 is scheduled to have a hearing in the House Environment & Energy Committee, on Thursday, February 17th at 1:30pm. It is critical that legislators see the immense support behind this bill. Here is how you can show your support:

Go to the SB5042 sign-in page [[link removed]]For Position, select “Pro” from the drop-down menuEnter your name, email, city, state, zip, and phone. It is optional to include your street address.Click “I'm not a robot” At the bottom, click “Submit Registration”
