It’s the middle of February – and it may not feel like it right now, but the 2022 midterm election season is in full swing. As of last Monday, our friends in Texas are already casting their ballot for their primary election only two weeks away.

I say it with a sense of urgency because with each primary election that passes, the Republican Party is one step closer to choosing their slate of far-right candidates determined to take the House this year.

Far-right is emphasized because that is what the Republican Party unfortunately has become, and what we are in danger of witnessing if Kevin McCarthy is holding the Speaker’s gavel in January 2023: A House of Representatives led by the far-right.

Trump may not be on the ballot, but Trumpism is – and as one of the most effective surrogates against Trump, I can tell you it is critical that I have your support to ensure we defeat the far-right this November. Will you contribute today so that my team and I have all the resources to stop Trump’s takeover of the House?
