It was a big weekend in Texas.

The Texas primary election is just 15 days away and we have a massive
opportunity to elect two progressive champions to Congress: Jessica
Cisneros and Greg Casar.

Electing these two candidates will grow our voice in Congress calling for
Medicare for All, reproductive rights, a Green New Deal, and much more.

It’s the reason why Alexandria traveled to San Antonio and Austin this
past weekend to help get out the vote before early voting starts on
Monday, and met with organizers on the ground.

Alexandria is working around the clock to grow our movement in Congress,
but it will take a mass-mobilization of grassroots power to win in Texas.

support Jess, Greg, and our work to mobilize voters in Texas before the
primary on March 1?

During the visit, Alexandria met with local grassroots organizations to
discuss how they’re organizing Latino and Black communities year-round and
addressing the shifting political landscape we saw in Rio Grande Valley in
2020 with voters leaning more Republican than in previous years.^1

Alexandria attended two rallies with the candidates in addition to a rally
with DSA Austin that focused on the Green New Deal in light of the first
anniversary of the massive 2021 storm in Texas. Several thousand people
attended the events!

For candidates like Jess – similar to Alexandria's primary campaign in
2018 – going up against an entrenched incumbent is not easy, and winning
the primary is the hardest battle. It’s especially hard in a voter
repressed state like Texas.

That’s why it’s crucial that we support these campaigns $5, $10, $50 at a
time so they can knock on as many doors as possible to energize voters and
set a record for voter turnout.

split between Jess, Greg, and our campaign to reach voters across Texas.

In solidarity,

Team AOC

P.S. We need volunteers to help contact voters in Texas! If you’re able
to, please sign up to [ [link removed] ]join a Jess Cisneros phone bank here or a
