There’s a distance for everyone who wants to race in Bend – 5k, 10k, half marathon, and full marathon.
Hi Supporter,
The gorgeous Bend Marathon is making its return to an in-person race on April 10! And there’s a distance for everyone – 5k, 10k,half marathon, and full marathon.
And did you know that April is Earth Month? So in honor of Earth Month, you can push yourself to do something new (or something you already love!) when you join one of the best mountain town races. You won’t just be setting fitness goals, but you’ll also be setting a goal that has purpose and meaning as a part of the Team Sierra community (plus, you’ll get free entry to the race and a tank for race day.)
We are in a climate crisis -- and our community is here because we believe we each can do what we can to make strides for climate action.
Each year, we’re seeing more extreme weather as a direct result of climate change, and it’s impacting every corner of our country. But, we still have the power to prevent the worst outcomes. We must take on the powerful fossil fuel industry and rapidly transition to 100% clean renewable energy. We must transform the way we live from energy use to transportation. And we must come together to get there.
You can make a difference.
The money you raise will support the Sierra Club’s climate action and environmental justice initiatives. This problem was created by people, and it can be solved by people. You’re an important part of that solution––your support is what makes all of our work possible.
And while you’re supporting crucial environmental initiatives, you’ll also be spending time outside in one of the most gorgeous race courses. This spectacular scenic course will take you through ponderosa pine forests and along the mighty Deschutes River. After you cross the finish line, you’ll get to join an after party where the Cascade Lakes craft beer will be flowing, delicious food is waiting, and you can relax while taking in iconic mountain views.
A note about covid: The Bend Marathon race organizers are continuing to monitor local covid cases and put safety measures in place following local and state health guidelines. Visit the Bend Marathon site to stay up to date.
