John -
My last email told you a little about my early life - I thought I would become a doctor to combat the rural healthcare crisis, but I quickly realized one more doctor was not going to be enough.
So I decided to run for office instead. I knew it wasn’t going to be easy, but I wanted to do my part. Every day of my campaign I was on the road, knocking doors and speaking to voters. I told them what motivated me - my commitment to expanding health care throughout Montana.
I won.
I beat a Republican incumbent by spreading a clear message - the fight for accessible health care. But this was more than a message for me, this was a commitment.
So I got to the Montana House and I fought.
As a Montana House Representative, I made healthcare my number one priority. I fought to reauthorize the successful Montana Medicaid Expansion, which brought insurance to nearly 90,000 Montanans. I also sponsored and cosponsored legislation that brought protections to those with pre-existing conditions, fought to lower the cost of prescription drugs, and expanded treatment for opioid users.
During my time in the Montana House I have been inspired and motivated to fight even harder. We have accomplished a lot, but there is so much more to be done.
Now I am ready to take this fight to the federal level, but I can’t do it without your help. Donate to my campaign right now so I can bring my fight for affordable and accessible health care to Congress >>
Every donation gets us one step closer to expanding healthcare in rural areas, lowering the costs of prescription drugs, building mental health clinics and more throughout Big Sky country.
Together, we can win this fight.
