Nebraska Republicans: Fighting for our Vets

- Nebraska Republicans are working diligently day-by-day to improve the lives of veterans in our state and attract more military retirees. Senator John Lowe prioritized a bill introduced by Senator Tom Brewer, a veteran, that will dramatically reduce state taxes on military pensions.

- Congressman Don Bacon, also a veteran, is one of the most senior former military officials in Congress, providing a unique insight into the working of our armed forces with experience few others in the body have. That is just one more reason to prefer Congressman Bacon, who is working to promote military readiness and make sure our troops have the resources they need to succeed. He serves on the House Armed Services Committee. Read more about Rep. Bacon's priorities.

- Senator Deb Fischer represents our state on the Senate Armed Services Committee, where she also helps steward resources toward our fighting men and women. Read her update on Funding Our Military.

Governor Ricketts is working a trade mission to Germany to enhance opportunities for the state's agribusiness and help develop new markets for Nebraska products. Learn more about it here

- While Republicans are busy getting about the country's business, Democrats have continued to pursue a policy of endless investigations and impeachment against President Trump, even though the election is less than a year away.

- The impeachment is a distraction against an economy performing at historic levels, with joblessness hitting record lows at the same time that wage growth for the bottom earners is up 9% and 3.2% across the board, according to Maria Bartiromo at Fox News.

- Another piece of evidence that the GOP means business: the President's administration set the record for number of judicial confirmations. The occasion was marked by President Trump and Nebraska's very own GOP Senator Ben Sasse, who sits on the Senate Judiciary Committee at the White House. This is what Senator Sasse had to say.

- The Nebraska GOP hosted Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Senator Lindsey Graham in Omaha last weekend to a fired-up crowd of major supporters. Thank you to all attended and be on the look out for our next major event!

TVLI TRAINERS NEEDED

Nebraska Republicans are in need of passionate conservatives to help train grassroots activists in the campaign strategy and tactics used by President Trump to win in places like Wisonconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania.

Trainers will help develop the party's grassroots infrastructure ahead of 2020, deploying to the most competitive districts to help recruit and train volunteers committed to Republican ideas and candidates.

ICYMI: Nebraska Republicans push back on Speaker Nancy Pelosi's Omaha Appearance

Nebraska Republicans, including Senator Ben Sasse and Congressmen Don Bacon and Jeff Fortenberry, partnered with the Nebraska Farm Bureau to highlight the need to pass USMCA, a piece of legislation she is stalling to deny President Trump another win. Senator Sasse wrote a column as part of the weekend's activities to highlight the critical need for this legislation.

Nebraska and Douglas County Republicans protested Pelosi's dinner and rallied for the USMCA. Check it out here.
