John, Paul LePage and the Maine GOP are trying to pull a fast one on us.
LePage just endorsed the Republican candidate, former GOP legislator Brian Langley, in a Special State Senate Election in Hancock County coming up on June 14th.
The Maine GOP and Paul LePage will try and brand their far-right candidates as “moderates”. What they actually mean is they will block any attempt to defend civil rights or help working families in Maine. Case in point, while in the legislature, Brian Langley voted against expanding Medicaid to more Mainers, voted against legalizing gay marraige, and voted against raising the minimum wage.
Watch out, because from now until November, Paul LePage and the Maine GOP will try and rewrite their history of disastrous, far-right policies.
But we know better.
Chip in $5, $10, $20, or whatever you can so we can stop Paul LePage and his extremist agenda.
We know exactly what kind of governor Paul LePage will be, no matter how many times he tries to rebrand himself.
This is a man who called himself “Donald Trump before Donald Trump,” and spent $22,000 of Maine taxpayer money to stay at Trump hotel properties while in office. When they asked why he wasn’t participating in Martin Luther King Jr. Day events, he told NAACP leaders to kiss his butt. He vetoed proposals to expand Medicaid six times, and wouldn’t support making Maine’s minimum wage a living wage.
He is everything wrong with the Republican Party today, and we must do everything we can to prevent him from returning to office.
Here’s the good news: with your help, on June 14th, voters will reject Brian Langley and elect Maine State Rep. Nicole Grohoski and Democrats in Augusta will continue to deliver for working families in Maine.
Rush a donation of $5, $10, $20, or whatever you can to keep Maine blue in 2022.
Thank you,
Gaetan
