John, as yesterday marked the fourth anniversary of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting, we are reminded of the importance in advocating for change which keeps our community safe.
Our community members and loved ones deserve so much more, and Congress has failed time and time again to deliver real change that would protect our communities from this violence and trauma.
Jan has heard from constituents firsthand on the devastating impact of gun violence on their community, neighbors and loved ones. These tragedies cause detrimental trauma that can last a lifetime. Together, we can fight for a world where no student needs to feel the grief of a lost classmate or the fear of a gunman targeting their classroom.
We all deserve a brighter future — especially our young students who carry these traumas and burdens every single day as they hear of these tragedies in schools just like their own.
