John, we hope you've been able to check out our first web3 & human rights event. It was a great conversation.
We are reaching out first of all to invite you to RSVP to our second event, Thursday February 24 at 12 pm PT / 3 pm ET. This salon, presented by Amnesty International and Fight for the Future, will bring together representatives of human rights organizations, technologists, and activists to explore technologies that failed and succeeded in promoting human rights for web2, and what they can demystify for us about how to organize for a better next version of the internet.

So, what could go right, and what could go wrong? We’re going to talk about it with author and activist Cory Doctorow, Cofounder and Director of Reboot Jasmine Sun, Professor of Media Studies at the University of Colorado Nathan Schneider, and more!
For those who missed the first Salon, or want to share it, we now have the recording up on YouTube.

Just like last time, we plan to have a robust Q & A at our February 24 event. We hope you can make it!
For a better internet,
Lia at ❤️Fight
PS: The forthcoming conversation is partly inspired by Rebecca MacKinnon’s piece ‘What to get right first’ for Starling Labs. While she couldn't join for this event, I highly recommend her long read for anyone interested in these issues!
