RNC Pulls Ahead, Builds Upon Outreach |
|
I recently returned from the Republican National Committee’s Winter Meeting held in Salt Lake City. I was accompanied to the meeting by our National Committeeman Tyler Bowyer and National Committeewoman Lori Klein-Corbin.
Here’s some information I gleaned from RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel’s General Session remarks. I’ve also added some comments my friend Minnesota National Committeewoman Barb Sutter made on her Facebook posting.
The financial news is especially good as the RNC continues to outperform Democrat fundraising which allows the RNC to continue making heavy investments in election integrity, minority outreach, voter registration, data mining and field operations. Additionally, the RNC will continue opening Community Centers across the country to engage Black, Hispanic, Asian and Native Americans.
On the election integrity front, the RNC is restoring confidence in elections by working to protect voter identification laws, securing drop boxes and banning ballot harvesting. The RNC is also suing Democrats to stop non-citizens from voting in our elections.
Many facts and figures were presented that underscore the necessity of Republican success in the coming midterm elections. I found the following most interesting:
- 16 of 20 Republican led states have the lowest unemployment percentages.
- Violent crimes in the U. S. are at an all-time high. Last year murders were up 30 percent—the highest in the past 60 years.
- Two million illegal immigrants have crossed into the U. S.
- Smuggling of lethal fentanyl into the U. S. is up an estimated 1000 percent. (Fentanyl overdose is the leading cause of death among young Americans.)
- Democrat administrations running 12 major cities are responsible for record-high homicides.
- In 2021, 350 police officers were shot in the line of duty.
And finally, I was pleased to learn that the RNC’s Faith Coalition is the largest faith team in our Party’s history.

Latino Engagement Strategy Plans Presented
More than 50 local officials, precinct captains, members of coalitions allied with the Republican Party of Arizona plus regional RNC leaders attended a presentation of the 2022 Latino Engagement Plan to engage the Latino community in the GOP. Helder Toste, RNC Field and Coalitions Director, stressed the importance of frequently hosting group meetings, voter contact including door knocking, phone banking and voter registration plus involvement in community events to address concerns of Latinos.

RNC's Poll Worker Army Initiative was 'Successful'
The recent RNC-sponsored National Poll Recruitment week was successful with more than 10,000 Americans across the country signing up to work mid-term election polls to assure free, fair and transparent elections. In addition, 163 training sessions were held and contact was made with nearly 95 percent of the registrants.
Meanwhile Democrats across the country are being defeated in their aggressive efforts to overstep election integrity reforms. Earlier this month legal action in Alabama, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Florida and Texas has either been resolved in favor of Republicans or is in review.
The poll worker recruitment drive was held the first week of February; however, information about the initiative is still available online at gopvictory.com.

'Everything Costs More' – Biden's Bureau of Labor Statistics Data Confirms
The Biden Administration’s Bureau of Labor Statistics has confirmed what Americans who have purchased anything over the past year already knew: everything costs more.
The Bureau’s Consumer Price Index shows that prices escalated 7.5 percent, the largest annual increase since 1982. The Index’s core consumer prices, which exclude prices for food and energy, spiked six percent, also the highest measure since 1882, while average hourly earnings fell 1.7 percent in January with inflation eating up any wage gains.
Gasoline prices, which remain at a seven-year high, and prices for used cars and trucks skyrocketed 40 and 40.5 percent respectively, leading the list of consumer goods price increases. Shoe prices increased the least at 6.1 percent while prices for bacon, eggs, chicken and fresh fish increased, on average, by 13.5 percent.
The Bureau’s data was released as Biden doubles down on his destructive economic policies that caused the disastrous inflation. These results underscore the findings of another study that shows 75 percent of Americans view the Biden Administration’s economic policies as “not so good” or “poor.”

State of the State Party
The Republican Party of Arizona is stronger on many fronts than ever before, reported RPAZ Chairwoman Dr. Kelli Ward. In a recent posting, Dr. Ward cited the party’s following milestones.
- The party has nearly 3000 more Precinct Committeemen on record than in December, 2020.
- The RPAZ raised $2.5 million in 2021 – a non-election year. By comparison, $2.9 million was raised in 2020.
- Republican voter registrations outnumber Democrat registrations by 7000.
- More than 500 potential school board candidates have been trained with another 100-plus either serving on a board or are currently campaigning for election.
Additionally, RPAZ regularly sponsors public speaking classes designed to help candidates sharpen their oratory skills. The party is also building an election integrity army that will restore election confidence among voters statewide. Outreach communication initiatives are strong with the Daily Update video messages posted six days each week with one in Spanish posted on Saturdays. Frontline, the twice-monthly electronic newsletter, is sent to the more than 60,000 Republicans across the country who follow Arizona officials, candidates and events as well as the activities of the RPAZ.

Candidates Headline February Sun City Grand Meeting

Arizona gubernatorial candidates Matt Salmon, Kari Lake and Steve Gaynor plus Secretary of State candidates Mark Finchem and Shawnna Bolick will address the Sun City Grand Republicans on Saturday, February 19. Republican Officials Top Havasu Lincoln Day Dinner Program
February 19
Five high-ranking Arizona Republican officials will speak at the Mohave County Republican Central Committee Lincoln Day Dinner on Saturday, February 19. Arizona Senate President Karen Fann, 4th Congressional District Congressman Paul Gosar, AZ Senator Sonny Borelli, Representative Leo Biasiucci and RPAZ Chairwoman Dr. Kelli Ward will address the more than 150 expected attendees. The dinner will be held at Shugrues Bridgeview Room starting at 5:00 PM.

Clean Elections Candidates Need Petition Signatures
Before April 4 Filing Deadline
Seven Clean Elections candidates running for statewide offices need nomination petition signatures before the April 4 filing deadline. In addition to signing the candidates’ petitions, signers are asked to donate $5 for candidates to be eligible for clean elections funding.

Arizona Capitol is Site of 2nd Amendment Rally
February 19
A variety of family activities will be available to families attending the 2nd Amendment Rally on Saturday, February 19 at the State Capitol, 1700 W. Washington St., in Phoenix. Activities include several children’s activities, educational booths political speakers plus a selection of food. Attendees are encourages to bring a lawn chair.

The Patriots of Arizona has scheduled Tea and Martinis social celebration on President’s Day, Monday, February 21 in Desert Mountain. The event will be held between 1:30 and 3:30 PM in the Cochise Geronimo Clubhouse.

Four candidates for Arizona state offices will address the March meeting of the London Bridge Republican Women on Monday, March 7.
