It’s the middle of the month – and we’ve got to hit our goal. I’ve been busy knocking doors in Alamance County (in the cold!! ⛄), but I wanted to take a minute to write you about our work. I’m gonna also keep this super short because I need to get back out and knock on some more doors, but y’all are helping me warm up my hands right now! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
As a former teacher – and we all know what the public schools in our state are like – I have witnessed firsthand how students of undocumented parents have been forced to miss school due to ICE and the local sheriff’s department targeting their parents.
But we have power in numbers, and we all deserve the right to grow, thrive, and live in a safe environment. So I’m asking you, Jack, will you help us hit our mid-month goal and chip in $15 right now? Every dollar will help us build out our staff to reach more people and talk to them about the power of their vote.
Canvassing in Alamance is no joke. It isn't easy. My feet hurt at the end of the day. I’m cold – I’ll never be a Northerner!! 😁 BUT this work delivers, and that’s all I care about. Every day when I look in the mirror, I know this work is serving the needs of the community I work in.
