I want to be upfront about something, John.
Hitting our monthly fundraising goal is going to be a stretch this month. Usually, we have 30-31 days to raise what we need to fund our budget, but this month we only have 28 days. On top of that, fundraising has slowed down a lot lately and it's a bit nerve-wracking.
Other campaigns might just set a lower goal, but not ours. Cori's primary election is only five months away, so falling short of our goal isn't an option. The difference of a few hundred dollars here and there adds up when it means putting off crucial campaign investments like hiring staff.
We've set a goal to raise $15,000 before midnight tomorrow to make up the ground, and I know we can hit it if everyone steps up. John, will you make a $5 donation to help us pick up the pace and hit our critical $15,000 goal?
Since her first campaign, Cori has pledged not to accept a single donation from corporate PACs — not a cent from fossil fuel executives, big pharma, military contractors, or the gun lobby. But our opponents don't have to make that same promise. If history is any indication, they won't.
This people-powered movement made history and sent the first Black woman to represent Missouri to Congress. Now, we're counting on supporters like you to help re-elect Cori and fight back against any future attacks from opponents and super PACs.
Our $15,000 mid-month goal ensures we can fund our items on our budget like organizing materials, campaign literature, and even keeping the lights on in our office. Please, will you chip in $5 or more now to get us back on track, hit our $15,000 goal by midnight tomorrow, and keep Cori in Congress?
Let's do this!
