So many of us watched in awe of the perseverance and leadership of Parkland survivors…kids not yet eligible to even vote, born years after the Columbine massacre. They had enough, and they began to organize, creating March For Our Lives and numerous other organizations and initiatives. They registered voters and they tearfully shared their stories and vision for the future. Four years later, they’re still working tirelessly, but things have gotten worse. We haven’t mobilized enough to reverse the political tide. We have become complacent, desecrating the memory of thousands and thousands of lives senselessly lost. |
