When H.R.1 the For the People Act came to a vote in the House, Nicole Malliotakis knew where she stood: AGAINST banning some of the most partisan redistricting measures that exist.
Now that we have new district lines and her path to re-election looks harder than ever, Nicole is singing a different tune. She’s thrown out every voters’ rights term in the book to criticize the new NY-11 - but not once has she acknowledged that supporting H.R.1 would have helped ensure fair, independent, bipartisan redistricting and access to the voting booth in each state.
