Friend,
I wanted to share my recent interview with Georgia Trend about the economy, the trucking industry, and how “going green” is good for our planet AND the bottom line. I hope you’ll take the time to read it.
For the past eight years, I’ve served as Executive Chairwoman of Jack Cooper, a 94-year-old trucking and logistics company. If you’ve seen a double-decker truck filled with cars going to dealerships, that might be one of ours! Before the COVID-19 epidemic, we moved as many as 4 million vehicles every year.
Now, Jack Cooper has committed to transitioning to zero-emission Class 8 trucks – those with gross weight ratings over 33,000 pounds. And we’re on track to make that change companywide about ten years ahead of Amazon!
That’s no small feat. But I know with Jack Cooper and other climate-conscious companies leading the way, we can transform our entire industry and help build a brighter future to pass on to the next generation.

Can a 94-year-old Teamster trucking company lead the future of the green energy economy?
The answer is yes, we can – and yes, we must.
And to help companies like mine make this transition, we need leaders and the state and federal level to address the semiconductor chip shortage, pass smart regulation, and continue to support green technologies.
I’d love to hear what you think, too. Take a minute to follow me on Twitter for insights on green business, public policy, and passing on a better world to our kids.
Thank you so much,
– Sarah
