I just wanted to make sure you saw Jeri's email yesterday because these votes are happening today. Send a message to your Wisconsin senator before they vote on AB495 to allow guns on school grounds and AB518 to make it easier for out-of-state gun carriers to bring guns to public places in Wisconsin.

Hi John,

Our partners at Everytown for Gun Safety recently shared an analysis showing that "the first half of the 2021-2022 school year had the most gun violence in recent history." There were 136 gun incidents at schools leaving 96 people injured and 26 killed. (1) 

Despite this alarming and heartbreaking data, Republicans in Wisconsin's legislators are bowing to the gun lobby and pushing to pass legislation (AB495) to allow guns on school grounds. 

As if that were not enough, these same elected officials in Wisconsin are also trying to pass AB518, a bill that would make it easier for out-of-state gun carriers to bring guns into public places in Wisconsin. 

Wisconsin's senate is voting on these bills tomorrow--Tuesday, February 15, 2022! Please act now to stop these reckless bills from passing in the senate.
